Welcome to the wonderful world of B.E.A.S. (Billboard Emergency Alert System).
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is proud to partner with so many local businesses to ensure the health and safety of our residents, guests and visitors while also protecting their property and interests. Our business partners are the most important part of the "B.E.A.S. Project" and will not function without them.
In addition to partnering with businesses, the "B.E.A.S. Project" staff is also working with other counties and states to help implement the project in their communities. In past weeks and in upcoming months, the "B.E.A.S. Project" staff has been joining together with the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and presenting the "Amber Alert" program and the "B.E.A.S. Project " together at conferences and meetings to get the word out about notifications in emergencies, whether man-made or natural.
The "B.E.A.S. Project" is made up of local businesses that donate their electronic signs, marquees and billboards in order to post public safety notices in the event of approaching tornadoes, hurricanes, ice storms and local flooding. The "B.E.A.S. Project" will also be used for local missing persons notices.
Please take a moment to tour the site and decide whether your business would like to help protect the community. There are so many benefits of belonging to the "B.E.A.S. Project" including membership forums and special events, as well as being included in local advertising and news reports.
On behalf of Anderson County, thank you for your time and help in establishing the "B.E.A.S. Project".
