Anderson County, SC E911 Communications Center, also known as the Anderson County 911 Center, operates 24 hours a day seven days a week and is responsible for answering all 911 and non-emergency calls for the citizens of Anderson County, South Carolina. Anderson County has a population of over 182-thousand people, and has a geographical size of nearly 757 square miles.
The Anderson County 911 Center personnel also dispatch Police, Sheriff, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services for the cities and communities of Anderson, Belton, Honea Path, Iva, Williamston and all rural areas of Anderson County. The citizens of Anderson County are provided quick access to emergency services by a team of 50 personnel.
Our Telecommunicators perform various duties, such as receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for public service via computerized E-911 equipment from our Centralized Communications Center. From these calls our personnel dispatch appropriate resources utilizing a "computer aided dispatch (CAD) system" and automated mapping system. This helps our personnel get the correct location for dispatching aid.
